SS501 (pronounced as Double-S Five-Oh-One or Deo Beul E Seu Oh Gong Il (더블에스오공일) in Korean)
is a popular South Korean boy band formed under the management of Daesung Entertainment, also known as DSP Entertainment.
All the members of the group have subsequently left DSP Entertainment to different management companies,
but they still intend to stay together as SS501.
The name of the band is a combination of letters and numbers that have special meaning.
The first “S” stands for “Superstar".
The second “S” is an abbreviation for "Singer".
The combination of 5, 0, and 1 symbolizes "five members united as one forever".
SS501's official fan club name is Triple S (means SSS : Super Star Supporters).

KIM HYUNG JOONG
( THE LEADER )
was born on June 6, 1986. He is 181 cm tall and weighs 68 kg. His position in the group is the leader, rapper, and vocal. His past experiences include MC Show Music Core, MC SBS Inki Gayo, MC Mnet Countdown. He can play the piano, guitar, bass, violin, and triangle.

HEO YOUNG SAENG
was born on November 3, 1986. He is 178 cm tall and 63 kg. His position in the group is the main high vocal.
His past experiences include DJ for SBS's "Youngstreet" Radio (from June to August 2006), MC Mnet Countdown. He can play the piano.
On May 12, 2011, he had released his first mini album, "Let It Go", along with the official music video.
Also, he appeared on a popular variety show named "Running Man in May 2011.
On August 24 2011, Young Saeng participated in the OST of the popular SBS < Protect the Boss > entitled "Sad Song" and the mp3 was able on the 31 of August.
It was also said that JYJ's JaeJoong was the one recommended him to sing the OST.
JaeJoong is a best friend of Young Saeng before he became a SM trainee.
KIM KYU JONG
was born on February 24, 1987. He is 182cm tall and 65 kg.
His position in the group is high low vocal.
His past experiences include Mnet "Drama - Break", DJ for SBS's "Youngstreet" Radio, MC Mnet Countdown.
He can do magic tricks. The song that he wrote in 'U R Mans album 'Wuss Up' was referenced in Big Bang's G-Dragon's song 'The Leaders'.

His position in the group is low vocal. His past experiences include MTV Fresh VJ (from March to November 2003), DJ for SBS's "Youngstreet" Radio, MC of a Korean TV Show (MBC): 74434, MC SBS Inki Gayo, and MC Mnet Countdown. He can tap dance.

On January 20, 2011, he released his mini album, "Not Alone" consisting of a single with the same name. The song features an orchestra and has a classical tone to it. The full music video to Jung Min’s title track, ‘Not Alone‘, was just released on major music websites. With the combination of his great vocals and his new image, the music video was a big hit.
KIM HYUNG JUN
was born on August 3, 1987. He is 181 cm and 66 kg. His position in the group is main vocal, rap, and maknae (the youngest).
